The SRAM Apex D1 XPLR 12 Speed Rear Derailleur has been engineered for the unique demands of 1x drive-trains, with technology to keep your chain perfectly in place and give smooth and reliable shifting anytime, anywhere, and over any terrain rough or smooth.

If you love to explore by bike you’ll no doubt encounter all sorts of terrain, the tough efforts of uphills the joyful whoops of downhills and everything in between. The Apex D1 XPLR 12 Speed Rear Derailleur ensures you have the gears to enjoy it all.

The X-Horizon design gives you whisper quiet and super smooth shifting across big gear range 12-speed cassettes, going up to a maximum 44 tooth cog, while also giving excellent he chain security and the simple reliability of a 1x gear system.

X-Horizon: X-Horizon derailleurs are designed with a ‘straight parallelogram’ which limits movement just to the horizontal axis. When in use this innovative design ensures ghost shifts are impossible while also having the benefit of reducing the shift force needed at the lever.

Quicker, more precise shifting is also facilitated via a large upper pulley wheel, offset to maintain a constant chain gap no matter what gear you’re in.

Cage Lock: SRAM’s Cage Lock technology makes wheel removal and installation quicker and easier than ever, not to mention making chain installation easier too. Simply push the derailleur cage in a forward motion to create chain slack and it locks in place.
