Fizik Cyrano R3 Handlebar - Chameleon

The Chameleon Handlebar: If you have an intermediate degree of spinal flexibility (approximately 90 degrees between your straight legs and your back when bending over as far as you can, keeping your legs straight a shoulders’ width apart), you are a chameleon.  You are better able to reach further, but perhaps you can’t get down quite as low on the handlebar drops as a Snake would be able to. You will prefer the Chameleon Handlebar because it has a longer reach but a shallower, more ergonomic-style drop.

Cyrano is fizik’s range of cockpit components, comprising handlebars, stems and seatposts. Handlebars are highly-stressed, safety-critical parts, making strength and fatigue resistance of paramount importance. Low weight is of course also a priority.

Cyrano handlebars are available in three models, according to material specification, and in three shapes to fit different rider physiques. Each shape is carefully designed to give easy transitions between different riding positions – tops, hoods and drops. The range of nine fizik Cyrano handlebars models are each available in a choice of four widths, to ensure a perfect fit.

The Cyrano R3 is made using Ergal aluminum; a 7075-series aluminum, with a high strength-to-density ratio that has the highest level of stiffness. Ergal also has good fatigue resistance, particularly important in handlebars.

The Cyrano R3 Chameleon maintains a long reach (85 mm) but bring the drops (135 m) up to accommodate still mobile, but slightly less flexible, riders. The shape sits between the squarer Snake bars and the compact Bull bars.
