Shimano 105 FC-5800 2x Chainset

The Shimano 105 5700 range incorporates many of the benefits that were originally developed for Dura-Ace 7900 series and integrated into Ultegra 6700 series. The new group is available in Sterling Silver for a classic road cosmetic or Lodestar Black for a more contemporary look. Overall, performance and durability is enhanced while the entire group manages to drop almost 30 grams from the prior generation.
 
  • Shimano's proprietary Hollowtech II design provides an optimum balance of light weight and stiffness, while Dual SIS front index shifting has long been the industry benchmark for instantaneous and assertive front shifting performance. Additional improvements include increased spacing between the inner and outer chainrings to reduce chain interference in cross-chain situations.
  • Innovative HollowTech forged and anodised aluminium crank arms utilise a hollow design that minimises flex and keeps the weight low
  • The chainring teeth have been developed to work in conjunction with the CN-5701 chains for increased contact to provide greater efficiency and improved power transfer
  • HollowTech II allows the bottom bracket bearings to be spaced wider apart (outboard from the frame), enabling the use of larger bearings and an increased axle diameter
  • The system allows for easier installation, adjustment, and maintenance
  • Lightweight anodised SG-X aluminium chainrings for smooth and precise shifting
  • For use with ST-5700, ST-6700 or ST-7900
  • SG-X chainrings feature strategically placed chain pick-up pins and tooth profiles to ensure fast and positive shifting
