Shimano GRX WH-RX570 Wheelset

A purpose built gravel wheelset designed to deliver Shimano’s renowned reliability and performance in a more accessible package, the GRX WH-RX570 650b is engineered specifically for modern gravel riding. Combining durability, compliance and efficiency, this wheelset is perfectly suited to mixed terrain, long distance adventures and technical off road routes.

The 650b platform allows for wider tyres and lower pressures, significantly improving comfort, grip and control across rough surfaces. The aluminium rims feature a 22 mm profile to enhance aerodynamic efficiency, while the 21.6 mm internal width provides excellent tyre support, improving stability and cornering confidence when running larger volume gravel tyres.

At the core of the RX570 is Shimano’s advanced hub system, using angular contact bearings that provide both radial and lateral support. This results in exceptional durability and smooth rolling performance under real world riding loads. The addition of labyrinth and contact seals ensures long lasting performance by effectively keeping out water, mud and debris without increasing drag.

The wheelset is built using 24 stainless steel straight pull spokes with a 2 cross lacing pattern, improving both lateral stiffness and power transfer. The elbow-less spoke design paired with alloy nipples delivers a strong yet compliant ride feel, balancing efficiency with comfort on longer rides.

Finished with Shimano’s reliable Centre Lock rotor system for quick and secure disc brake installation, and built around modern 12 mm thru axle standards, this is a highly versatile gravel wheelset that delivers consistent performance in all conditions.
