The new SRAM Force CX1 groupset is a complete, high-performance 1x11 cyclocross drivetrain that combines the best parts of SRAM's revolutionary XX1 mountain bike and road bike technologies. The complete drive with a chainring and eleven gears is lighter, simpler, more robust, while offering an aesthetic look and optimal gear selection for cyclocross. SRAM Force CX1 provides optimized chain guidance and smooth shifting, no matter what the conditions or terrain. It is the only true cyclocross system with a chainring.

Cyclocross braking systems have remained at a pretty medieval state. Sure, they're fancier and lighter, but rudimentary. While space-age technology has driven the development of frames and drivetrains, road bike brake technology has been stuck in the age of horseshoes and horse-drawn carriages.

SRAM, with the Avid brand already a long time leader in hydraulic braking technology, has revolutionized the braking systems for road bikes and introduces hydraulic technology for versatile purposes: disc or rim brake - SRAM will stop what you have driven - faster and with better modulation.

The SRAM Force CX1 ErgoDynamics™ Hydraulic brake lever was spawned from the DNA of SRAM's "best in class": SRAM RED, which represents SRAM's most advanced thinking when it comes to the perfection of the interface between cyclocross rider and bike.

Please note: when purchased separately, these brakes are EU spec. This means that the front brake is on the left and the rear is on the right. This does not matter if you are purchasing a set as the calipers can be interchanged.
