The Shimano MT401 / MT420 4-Pot Hydraulic Disc Brake Set is built for confident, reliable stopping power on your mountain bike adventures. Designed to handle demanding trails, it pairs the smooth, ergonomic MT401 lever with the powerful MT420 four-piston caliper, delivering strong and controlled braking performance even on long descents.
The alloy brake lever features an anodised finish for added durability and corrosion resistance, while its accessible reach (minimum 75mm) makes it easy to adjust for smaller hands. With Shimano’s signature mineral oil system and funnel bleeding design, maintenance is simple and clean.

Reach Adjust: This model's brake lever is equipped with a reach adjust mechanism. The distance from handlebar grip to lever can be adjusted to suit any hand size, type of riding and individual rider preferences.
BR-MT420 Shimano Four-Piston Hydraulic Disc Brake Caliper: The Shimano BR-MT420 hydraulic disc brake caliper delivers powerful, consistent braking performance with smooth modulation. Its robust four-piston design provides significantly greater stopping power and control compared to two-piston models, making it ideal for the demands of trail, all-mountain, and e-MTB riding. Featuring a post-mount design, it ensures easy installation and adjustment while delivering the reliable, balanced braking performance Shimano is known for.
Please note: these are EU spec right hand lever rear brake sets (opposed to the U.K. spec which uses a left hand lever for a rear brake).
