Reynolds 853 Steel Construction: Niner's love affair with air hardened Reynolds 853 steel spans more than 15 years, and for good reason. Unlike many materials, Reynolds 853 actually strengthens after TIG welding, allowing thinner, lighter tubes without compromising durability or strength.
Steel has long earned its reputation for rugged reliability, shrugging off the scratches, knocks and rough treatment that come with real adventures. Whether you're crossing continents or commuting across town, the RLT 9 Steel is ready to be loaded up and rolled out.
Steel Frame with RDO Carbon Fork: Paired with Niner's Race Day Optimized (RDO) carbon fork, the RLT 9 Steel offers an exceptionally smooth and compliant ride while keeping weight low and steering precise.
The fork features internal brake hose routing, rack, mudguard and cargo mounts, a 12 x 100mm thru axle, flat mount disc brake compatibility, and internal dynamo cable routing for hub powered lighting. Designed for long distance riding, it makes carrying heavy loads effortless while maintaining comfort over rough terrain.

It accommodates tyres up to 700 x 50c, or can be fitted with 650b wheels and tyres up to 2.0", giving you the freedom to choose the perfect setup for every ride. Whether your next adventure demands speed, comfort or extra grip, the RLT 9 Steel adapts with ease.
Built to Go Further: From weekend bikepacking trips to daily commuting, the RLT 9 Steel is packed with practical features.
Its 26 integrated mounting points provide space for bags, bottles, racks and accessories, while integrated rack and mudguard mounts make carrying gear simple. Internal cable routing keeps the frame looking clean, and the PF30 bottom bracket shell allows either geared or singlespeed drivetrains. The frameset is also compatible with both mechanical and electronic shifting, and is ready to accept a dropper post for added confidence on technical terrain.
Niner has also designed custom frame bags for every frame size, mounting directly to the frame without straps or buckles for a cleaner, more secure setup.
Fireroad Geometry: Whether you're riding across town or across the country, Niner's Fireroad Geometry keeps you comfortable with longer chainstays, a lower bottom bracket height and a slacker head tube angle for stability and confidence over long distances.
