The Shimano BB-5500 Octalink V1 Bottom Bracket is a precision engineered unit designed for Shimano Octalink V1 spline road cranksets. Built to Shimano’s exacting standards, it delivers smooth bearing performance, efficient power transfer and long term durability, making it ideal for restoring or maintaining classic Shimano drivetrains.

Designed for frames with a 68mm English threaded bottom bracket shell and 1.37 inch internal diameter, this model is available in two spindle lengths to ensure correct chainline and crank compatibility. The sealed cartridge construction protects against contamination while maintaining consistent rotation under load.

Compatible with Shimano Octalink V1 cranksets including FC-7700, FC-7703, FC-6500, FC-6503, FC-5500, FC-5501, FC-5503 and FC-5504.
