Description
The Shimano RX801R Rally Gravel Cycling Shoes are high-performance, lightweight cycling shoes designed for gravel racing, endurance riding and challenging off-road conditions. Combining the efficient power transfer of a road racing shoe with the durability and traction needed for gravel riding, the RX801R features additional ankle protection to help keep out dust, dirt and debris.
A distinctive knitted ankle cuff provides a close, comfortable fit around the ankle, helping prevent trail debris from entering the shoe when riding across loose gravel, muddy tracks and rough terrain. The supple synthetic leather upper uses Shimano's surround-wrapping construction to distribute pressure evenly across the foot, providing secure support without compromising comfort during long rides.
The lightweight carbon composite sole delivers excellent pedalling efficiency, with a stiff platform designed to minimise energy loss under power. Lightweight, abrasion-resistant TPU outsole lugs provide additional traction and stability when walking or tackling technical sections off the bike.
A low-profile BOA Li2 dial allows precise, micro-adjustable fitting in both directions, making it easy to fine-tune tension while riding. Shimano DYNALAST technology further optimises foot positioning and pedalling efficiency, while the SPD-compatible two-bolt cleat interface provides reliable engagement with compatible pedals.
